ALMI is a procedure in which approximately 60cc of fat is manually harvested from a site with adequate subcutaneous fat using a 20 or 60cc syringe and a cannula. A combination of lido/epi diluted with normal saline is used for tumescence. The fat is then micronized and injected into the face or scalp. 1 or 2 tubes (depending on the area) of blood is drawn for injection as well.
